Research and Instructional Services

The Research and Instruction Subject Librarians actively engage with patrons in-person and online via:

  • Outreach
  • Chat and Ask Us
  • 1-on-1 research appointments
  • Scheduled class sessions (synchronous & asynchronous)
  • Reserves and new program support
  • Collection development and management
  • 24/7 self-service guides and tutorials

Access & User Services

Access & User services are responsible for managing the daily on campus operation of the Libraries’ spaces and collections, including assisting patrons with finding and borrowing materials. They help patrons get access to materials via resource sharing programs, scanning, and the transportation of items between library locations and offsite storage.

They are also responsible for assisting patrons with problems with their accounts, including answering questions about loans, renewals, and returns as well as resolving fines.

Digital Libraries & Technical Services

The Digital Library & Technical Services staff perform a variety of support functions throughout the library - acquiring, licensing, cataloging, and making materials, chosen by Reference & Instruction, accessible in either the physical or electronic collections.
