Graduating Students may keep borrowed materials until May 31, 2026, the final day to complete Spring semester work. Access to Elmer Holmes Bobst Library will also end after this date.
Continuing Education Students who are not enrolled in a future semester will have a due date of May 15, 2026.
Patrons With Dual Roles (for example, Student and Staff)
Loan periods are determined by the role held at the time the item was checked out. If their role changes later, the due date will not change.
Access to consortium libraries--including Elmer Holmes Bobst Library and The Cooper Union Library--may change if they are no longer enrolled in a degree program. Access depends on their current affiliation with the university.
New School Faculty and Staff Retirees may borrow local library materials and check out up to 5 books at a time. However, they may not request materials through resource sharing or interlibrary loan (ILL).
Checking Your Due Dates
Patrons who are graduating or not enrolled in a future semester can view due dates by logging into My Account on the library website. Email reminders will also be sent for materials that are due.
For more access information, please see the 'What Do I Have Access To?' page of the library website.
