Check the library catalog to see if an e-book version of a book exists within the New School library consortium. In order to filter your results to ebooks only, refine the Availability to "Online Access" and Resource Type to "Books." Books that are available in e-book format will have a link under the "Online Access" section of the library catalog record. (Sometimes, there will be separate records in the library catalog for various versions of a book, so be sure to view all relevant records.)
Click through links to access the item online. Faculty and current, matriculated students may visit NYU Bobst Library at 70 Washington Square South to access e-books that are designated for NYU users.
To request that The New School purchase an e-book version of a book, please complete the Request a Purchase form on the library website. These purchases generally take 1 week to process. We will email you once the book becomes available. Please note that some books are not published in e-book format for libraries.
Faculty who wish to request an e-book for course reserves (mandatory course readings) may do so in Canvas under the "Course Reserves" tab. All Reserves requests are automatically purchased in e-book format when available.
