To locate a journal article when you have the citation:
- Go to the library website.
- Click on "Google Scholar."
- Enter the title of the article (e.g., "Greening capitalism? A Marxist critique of carbon markets").
- If the article is available in a library database, a link to the article will appear in the right-side column of the page.
Some articles cannot be found in Google Scholar. To locate them:
- Search Library Catalog using the name of the periodical -- or magazine, newspaper, or journal (e.g., Harper's Bazaar).
- Navigate to a database that distributes that journal or you can try entering article and/or author keywords to find the article in the library catalog.

To find a variety of journal articles on a research topic:
- Try searching a General database (we recommend ProQuest All Subscribed Databases and JSTOR).
- Search subject-specific resources (for Architecture, Business, Sociology, etc.).
- After performing a search, most databases allow you to refine to "scholarly/peer-reviewed" articles only.
