Access & Borrowing

Loan Periods & Fines

Students, faculty, and staff must show a current valid University ID card to borrow materials or use other Consortium library materials

Renewing Materials

Renew online from your library account.

*Note that you cannot renew materials that have been recalled or if you have blocks on your library account due to excessive fines or lost books.

Books

  • 120 days to faculty and Ph.D. students

  • 60 days to master’s degree students

  • 28 days for all others


  • Overdue books and scores that have not been recalled accrue fines at the rate of $.25 per day.

Sound Recordings

Generally circulate for 28 days to all patrons

Videos & DVDs

Generally circulate for 7 days to all patrons.
Patrons are limited to 4 AV items at one time.

Reserve Materials

Circulate for periods as short as 2 hours and accrue overdue fines at the rate of $1 per hour.

Holds and Recalls

Holds
Materials can be put on hold online from your library account.

Recalls
All library materials except reserve materials are subject to recall, which will shorten the loan period to no less than 2 weeks.Recalled materials must be returned by the new due date or a $1 per day fine will be assessed.

Proxy Borrowers

Faculty members may designate student assistants to borrow library books on their behalf by submitting a proxy borrower form.

Archives & Special Collections

To access materials from Archives and Special Collections make an appointment.

Make an Appointment

Weekends and evenings are not available for appointments. Materials may be held offsite and can take up to two weekdays to become available after your request.
