ART AND DESIGN
Artists' books, photography first editions, historical costume materials with hand drawn illustrations, classical architecture books, projects by Parsons students, catalogue raisonnés, back issues of rare periodicals, and many other valuable publications. A curated selection of images from artists' books in our collection may be viewed here.
Rare scores and other historical materials, including Teodor de Wyzewa’s biography of Mozart; personal scores by Rosa Ponselle for Metropolitian Opera; first edition of Leopold Mozart’s, “A Treatise on the Fundamental Principles of Violin Playing." Scores of 20th century American composers heavily represented, including those by Stearns, Sydeman, Loeb, and Werle.
