The collection consists of student work and related records created or received by Joseph Marcella while studying in the Design Correlations Department (now Product Design) of Parsons School of Design between 1968 and 1970. In addition to project files for portable structures, underwater and outerspace habitations, and a one-piece plastic chair, the collection includes photographs, posters, and textual materials documenting the first Earth Day observances at Parsons.

New School School of Media Studies records

The School of Media Studies began as the Center for Understanding Media. Accredited through Antioch College, the program offered courses through the New School for Social Research. The New School formally absorbed Media Studies in 1975, after a four-year partnership. These records consist of curricula vitae, office files, reports, syllabi, posters and other printed publicity materials, as well as a few objects used for orientations and promotional purposes.

Parsons School of Design poster collection (pre-2007)

Contains 236 posters created for academic departments and administrative offices of Parsons The New School for Design, including promotional posters for summer sessions and study abroad programs, recruiting by specific departments, and publicity for exhibitions, public programs, and internship fairs. With the exception of a 1927 poster advertising a dance, the series does not contain any material created prior to 1956.

John Russo graphic design work

John Russo (1920-2012) graduated from Parsons School of Design in 1942 and taught at the school from 1946 to 1985. The collection includes printed examples of Russo's whimsical graphics, including fliers, invitations, and posters. More samples of Russo's design work will also be found in the Parsons marketing and promotional materials record group (PC.05.03.01), in the Parsons posters collection (PC.05.07.01) and in the Parsons School of Design Alumni Association records (PC.03.02.01).

Albert Schiller type pictures

Typographer Albert Schiller (1898-1970) created artworks using pre-cast metal type elements. The collection is comprised of 35 type pictures and printing samples featured in a 1976 exhibit at Parsons.
